Seed count averages 85-120 seeds/lb. pending crop conditions and area of collection. Watch for germination in cold storage or stratification. The fastigiata characteristics come true from seed. We expect above 90% of the seedlings will be true to type. The non fastigiata type can be noticed after the first year in the seed bed and removed. Perhaps waiting two years is better before removing non "type" seedlings. Do not over-dry the seed or it will die. |
