Comments: |
A warm stratification prior to cold is beneficial. Watch for germination in cold stratification. Warm stratification softens seed coat to allow entry of water. Some growers will scarify seed prior to cold stratification. Seedlings will develop a strong tap-root so it is best to transplant after one year in seedbed. Seed is floated to increase cut test. |
Germination info: |
120 days cold moist stratification. |
