Comments: Germination is speeded up by cracking the seed coat prior to stratifying but I am not sure how to do this in any fashion to make it useful. Maybe a hot water treatment will work instead of "cracking" the seed coat by scarifying the seed coat . Seed coat may inhibit the entry of water. Seed may be mechanically filed or ground (scarified) to allow the entry of water prior to sowing or stratifying
Germination info: Seed requires 60-90 days cold moist stratification.
