Comments: This seed is not dried to avoid the hard pericarp induced problems. This is why we scarify or Summer sow the dried seed to soften the seed coat up to allow the passage of water. Drying of the seed causes the hard seed pericarp to develop causing additional pre-treatment requirements. Cut test will be lower with an expected minimum of 60%. Seed shipped as soon as received for prompt sowing.
Germination info: Fall sow seed to achieve a cold stratification of 90 -120 days.
