Comments: Seed count averages from 17,300-18,500/lb. . Watch seed for germination in warm stratification. If the seed begins to germinate in warm stratification sow at once or put right into cold stratification until you can sow. Difficult seed to get to germinate in a single Spring. Tends to germinate over a 2 year period due to not getting proper pre-treatment . Seed-bed wants a dry top and cool moist roots so if possible water from the bottom. Who ever learns to make this plant grow at a medium-fast rate will do well in business.
Germination info: Seed requires a warm stratification of 90 days followed by 90 days cold moist stratification. A new idea on this seed is a short warm stratification in the presence of light followed by 90 days cold stratification in the presence of light. Germination is uniform with higher %'s.
A Trial Packet contains a minimum of 5 - 30 seeds depending on the size of the selected seed.
